Our client are a leading law firm that prides themselves on delivering high-quality legal services to their clients across a broad spectrum of disciplines. Due to continued success, our client are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Grade C Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their growing team in Oxford.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims, providing expert legal advice and support to clients who have suffered harm due to medical errors. This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career in clinical negligence law while working within a well-regarded team.



Requirements

  • Manage a caseload of clinical negligence matters, including both high-value and complex claims.
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to clients, including assessing the merits of claims and negotiating settlements.
  • Prepare and issue court proceedings, managing all stages of litigation through to trial where necessary.
  • Work closely with experts, medical professionals, and barristers to build strong cases for clients.
  • Draft legal documents, including letters of advice, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and guidance throughout the process.
  • Contribute to the business development and marketing initiatives within the clinical negligence team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver a seamless service to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in clinical negligence law.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, as appropriate.

Key Requirements:

  • A qualified solicitor with at least 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in clinical negligence law.
  • A strong understanding of the legal principles and practical issues involved in clinical negligence claims.
  • Experience handling a varied caseload of clinical negligence matters, from initial instructions through to settlement or trial.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, experts, and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex legal issues.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach to legal work.
  • A commitment to continued professional development and staying up to date with developments in clinical negligence law.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
